Loving West Norfolk at Snettisham Park Farm
It's half term and there are loads of activities for all the family at Snettisham Park Farm, West Norfolk. They include pony grooming, friendly goats to feed, watching our young calves being fed, guinea pig and rabbit cuddling, collecting and grading freshly laid eggs.
As its lambing season do you want to help feed the orphan lambs? There are also pony rides and 1/2 hour lead rein hacks for beginners during the school holidays for children. Younger visitors will be able to burn off energy on the play area.
The Visitor Centre is the welcoming hub of your visit where you will find the tearoom. Great food to eat in and you can take home venison and fresh farm eggs.
There are three farm trails to walk around. A short farming trail 2/3 mile, a discovery trail 1 1/2mile and an archaeology trail 2 1/2miles. You will learn something about this rich and fertile countryside and see an abundance of diverse wildlife and habitats along River Ingol. Visitors are often surprised to find out that the farm is the site of an important Roman Villa, a Saxon Settlement and the famous St Thomas Chapel.
